We Are MRFC

Mt. Rainier Futbol Club (MRFC) is a non-profit organization; founded in 2000 and serves the Bonney Lake, Sumner, Orting, Enumclaw, Buckley, Lake Tapps, Auburn, Black Diamond and Puyallup communities. We have been recognized by US Soccer as a Player First club, which focuses on the following 5 pillars: Club Development, Coaching Development, Player Development, Parent Engagement & Education and Player Health & Safety. We are devoted to the principles of a solid work ethic, fair play and to impart in knowledge, respect and a life-long love for the game. Our club strives to teach, develop, and enhance the fundamentals at all levels so players can reach their full potential.

MRFC is dedicated to offering programs for all ages (Youth 3-18) through our Premier, Recreational and Future Programs, as well as adults through our Co-Ed 7v7 Recreational league and competitive soccer through Cascadia Premier League. In addition, we offer camps, referee clinics, college prep programs and more. We believe in fostering the growth of the whole player and focusing on their development both on and off the field.

Competitive Programs

The MRFC Premier Development Academy (19U-12U) and our Premier Foundation Academy (11U-9U) Programs cater to the dedicated soccer-focused players, who want to train and compete with other dedicated soccer-focused players. Players will be selected through a tryout process conducted by MRFC Club personnel utilizing professional coaches and MRFC player selection evaluators. Our premier program is open to both girls and boys ages 8-18 (9U-19U).

MRFC’s player first philosophy is to accelerate and maximize individual player development while striving to continually form teams capable of competing at the highest levels possible. MRFC’s priority is to place players on the team most appropriate for the player and his/her current skillset.

Although MRFC players will train in an enjoyable environment, players will be held to high standards and expectations. They will continually be challenged to reach goals set forth by MRFC coaches and trainers to attain optimal player development & competitiveness. Each player’s time on the field, during games, will be determined by the player’s desire, attitude, effort and performance.

Futures Programs

Our Futures Academy Programs for ages three to eight will be your player’s first introduction into structured soccer. Our certified coaches meet your player where they are at and work to progress their fundamental skills and ball mastery, including moves to evade and deceive their opponent. Meeting twice a week ensures that the repetition of learning becomes a habit for success. Futures Academy is broken into three groups: Futures Jr. (3-4 year olds), Futures Academy (5-6 year olds), and Futures 2 (6-8 year olds). Upon completion of the Futures Academy experience, players will be ready to move to any 7v7 format league. Whether you choose recreational, select or premier level play, your player will be a standout!

College Prep

MRFC’s College Prep Program provides our members with tangible next steps as they move through the recruiting process. Though this program was designed with the student-athlete in mind, it is important to acknowledge the fact that many of our youth players won’t pursue soccer at the next level. Our program provides the tools necessary to navigate the collegiate application process, as well as the recruiting process.
